are my kids really going to be driving??

i just signed my kids up for a drivers ed. the course cost $425 each, after the $25 discount! its a state implemented law to make sure teen drivers are well equipped to drive a car and not thrown behind the wheel at 16. i dont mind, but i was just surprised at the prices. we learned in school when i was a teen.
